The Martin-Wagner-Schule Bautechnik II has been a source of inspiration and instruction to generations of German craftspeople in the building arts since 1994. Along with the welcome by Germany of displaced peoples of active wars, the school has risen to the challenge of providing “Willkomenklassen” to help these young people transition into their new home.

The Welcome Photoclass at Martin-Wagner was instituted in collaboration with Studio 642 to provide two additional weeks of training in the fundamentals of photography to these students – a vital skill in visual culture and the contemporary digital workplace.
